A Vision Worth Dying For
A Vision Worth Dying For Scripture: Acts 2:41-47 What is our unique DNA? We are an evangelical church theologically, but we are not very traditional. We experience spiritual unity in the midst of broad diversity. We engage our culture on their level without “watering down†our message. We appreciate order and excellence along with freedom of the Spirit and the gifts. We take sin seriously but extend grace to the sinner. We have specialized training for all ages and gender, but believe strongly in the integrated church family. We believe the church, as God intended it to be, is the hope of the world. Why I would die for this vision of 34 years: The Word of God trumps everything in this media saturated world heralding the absolute TRUTH that sets us free. Worshiping God and enjoying Him in the midst of all other enticing distractions is the ultimate fulfillment in life. Connecting with other Christ followers in spiritual community is to experience the “greatest family†here on earth. Learning to pray and then praying will guarantee living life a notch above the ordinary. Taking the initiative to walk across the room to get acquainted will earn the privilege to share the greatest gift in life.

The Gospel: God's Power for Salvation (Romans 1:16-17)
We should not feel ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for salvation; because it is for everyone; and because it reveals and provides the righteousness of and from God that is necessary for us to be accepted by God. Apart from the gospel we have no hope, but for everyone who believes, the gospel is a sure and certain and powerful hope, providing for our greatest need.

The Bread of Life (John 6:22-71)
Jesus says he can provide a bread that will sustain us, giving life to the world and giving us eternal life. But he draws a strong reaction from the crowd when he explains that it is his own body that is this bread. We see that Jesus is speaking of believing in him; to believe in Jesus is to eat this bread. But we see as well that eternal life comes at the cost of our own desires; we must give ourselves to Jesus.
