Patient Endurance
God had made a promise to Abraham. Even though it took several years, that promise was fulfilled. We often talk about the faith of Abraham and that is important. The Impact of our Gifts
God can do what we cannot. It's not what we can do with what we have but what God can do with what we give Him! Grasping the power of God helps eliminate our doubts. The extravagance of our gifts doesn't matter, it's the power of God to multiply those gifts. We must trust in the God who will supply and live believing that nothing is outside the capability of God. When doubts arise, call the Doctor and praise God for what you have and for what is coming.

Confidence
Do you have proof that you are a citizen of heaven? Do you have confidence that you are a citizen of God’s Kingdom? Many struggle with doubts in this area. In the apostle John’s first letter, he told his hearers that they could have “confidence” that they were members of God’s eternal Kingdom by receiving and believing in His Son, Jesus. We can know this confidence that comes from receiving and believing in Christ as our Savior. The text gives four steps to having confidence and assurance of your salvation.

Jesus
It's about Jesus, it's always been about Jesus, it will always be about Jesus... in the closing chapter of the letter of 1 John, the apostle John is driving home what it means to know, love and obey Jesus. There should be no mistake that Jesus is not like other religious leaders. He is totally exclusive by his claims to be the "only" way -John 14:6. He is also totally inclusive in providing the forgiveness for sins for everyone. When one understands who Jesus is, he/she should respond to his call to "come and follow me".
