Sermons About Believe
For This I Was Born
The second in a 6-part series on discovering what God is doing in our lives. When we realize that our experiences have helped shape the canvas of our world, then we realize that God truly is saying “I can work with that”. The road of discovery allows us to see the Call of God and the cause of Christ.

We Believe...in the Holy Spirit, the giver of life
We believe...and we are never the same. Stability for our kids and our community comes from the eternal stability of God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and Earth who for us and for our salvation became man in Jesus. He who delivered His own Son to death for us will also freely give us all things. That God, the Spirit, dwells in us corporately and individually for the glory of Jesus, who is God for us.

Leap of Doubt: Science has disproved Christianity
Our only hope in light of this fallen world and our own depravity is that God is at work to redeem us from ourselves and renew his creation. I hope that you will not allow the over-reaches of scientists or theologians to keep you from looking at Jesus. He is the only One who can rescue you from eternal separation from God. He alone can save you from the consequences of sin against our perfect Creator. Today, as I have done every week of this series, invite you into a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Will you stop making excuses for ignoring your Creator and bow before the cross in humility and faith that Jesus has paid the penalty you could not pay?

Saying Isn't Believing
Proverbs 6:1-11 tells us how to get out of financial debt with what David Ramsey calls "Gazelle Intensity". This passion is motivated by fear of bondage. Rom 13:8 tells us we have another debt of love to God and people that can never be repaid. The passion to live out this debt is motivated by freedom in Christ! If 'Gazelle Intensity" is needed to break the bonds of financial debt motivated by bondage, then how much more "Gazelle Intensity" should Christ-followers have to live out our debt of love motivated by freedom? The hindrance to RUN in this freedom is either raw unbelief or spiritual slumber. This message examines these hindrances in two areas; talking to God and listening to God.

Part 2, Believe
Simple, Part Two - Believe Jesus' initial invitation to his disciples was a simple one: Follow me. He invited them to watch and listen to his interactions with his heavenly Father and with others. In time, however, those who followed Jesus began to discover God's character through Jesus Christ. In that discovery they found themselves drawn to take a second simple step: Believe.

We Believe...In Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord
We believe...and we are never the same. We have believed the good news that God rescues sinners in Jesus and it changed our lives forever. What did we believe and how did it change us? What do we believe and how do we change us? Christianity means something and that belief was handed down to us as the means of having fellowship with God. Come...believe...and you will never be the same. We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.

Leap of Doubt: Since Suffering Exists, God Cannot
We Need To Answer These Questions: Does the Bible address the issue of evil of suffering more soundly than other options that are available? If no, what are my remaining objections and how do I support them? If yes, have I placed my trust in the Gospel that saves me from eternal suffering and provides hope in the temporal suffering?

Not Seeing Is Believing
As St. Augustine has said, “Faith is to believe what you do not see; and the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.” By grace, we cast off doubt and believe in God's forgiveness through His Son, Jesus Christ.
