Blessings Through Obedience
Healing belongs to us today. God has provided it for us in several ways. Under the Old Covenant, He promised to take sickness away from us if we would obey His commandments, which under the New Covenant is the commandment of love. If we walk in love, we should walk in divine healing. We are to be rooted and grounded in love, it is to be what stabilizes and gives us strength. Love is the way to inheriting the eternal, God kind of life that starts when we are saved.

The Mysterious Comfort of a God Who Fights Against Us
This sermon unpacks one of the strangest stories of the Bible: Jacob's wrestling with God. Join us as we explore the mystery of confronting the Terrible-Beautiful God. God sometimes comes as an adversary, but broken and sinful people who surrender to Him find new life and blessing. As C. S. Lewis once portrayed Him: "He's good, but not safe."

Faithful Abraham
Abraham was blessed by God, he wasn’t trying to be blessed, he was blessed. He wasn’t trying to earn it. God knew he would be faithful to do what He called him to do. Abraham was faithful to obey the Lord. As he obeyed in each step, he walked more and more in that Blessing. The blessing of Abraham is ours, by faith.

Dealing with Misplaced Trusts
Let's face it, sometimes we would rather do things our way than enter into the process of realigning our desires to match God’s desires. In this sermon, we will look at the lives of four people who prefer to trust their senses, their appetites, their instincts, and their advisors to trusting God. Let's take a peek into their lives so that we may learn about our own.

Abraham, Righteous and Chosen or Money Grubbing Sinner?
With all the attacks on the prosperity message, we have to examine the scriptures to see what God thinks about it. According to some misguided people, money is evil. They also think that there’s something wrong with the people that have it. They definitely think there’s something wrong with people that want more money. With this line of thought in mind, we examine Abraham, the father of Israel. He was extremely wealthy. Money is just a tool. God told him that He was going to bless him so that he would be able to be a blessing to all the nations of the world. We are to be blessed, like Abraham, so that we can be a blessing to the world as well.

I Want to Give Thanks
Perspective causes us to see things in different ways, but no matter what happens in our life, we can be thankful for several reasons: God's character, God's creation, God's salvation and God's blessings.

The Long Dark Night
Long dark nights of the soul are devastating to one unanchored in the promise of God in Jesus Christ. They shape our view of the world around us and dictate our responses to the life in which God has placed us. Yet to the one seeking after God, these dark nights of the soul are one of God’s must useful instruments to change us through his grace that comes only through Jesus Christ. Sometimes God takes through long dark nights in our souls to demonstrate our own helplessness apart from Him. It is His desire that we come to a place of total dependence and submission to His will, to abandon ourselves to Him. Jesus told His disciples, “Apart from me, you can do nothing.” It is a lesson we must all learn. Today, in the life of Jacob, we see a long dark night of wrestling, resolved only at daybreak with a prayer, an answer, and a life forever changed.

Blessing and Curse
In Galatians 3:9-14 Paul tells us that we are blessed along with Abraham the man of faith. We also learn that the Law and Faith are two diametrically opposed systems of salvation. This makes it utterly impossible for the saints of the O.T. to have been saved by the Law. Indeed if a Law had come that brought blessing, then Christ died for no purpose! In this sermon Pastor Jeremy brings to a close his explanation of why the Dispensational distinction between Israel and the Church is a problem when we read this section of Galatians.

The Joy of the Journey Comes by Understanding Responsibilities
Christ followers have the responibility according to Scripture to bring God a tenth of their income, which is the original standard of giving established by God. The New Testament takes our responsibility of giving to God to a higher level. God gives us the opportunity to "test-drive" the program He has instituted because He promises blessings as we give, but we must keep things in the proper perspective.

Walking In The Glory Light Of The The Lord
What we trust in, have confidence in and what we expect for blessing in our life are determining factors in how our life will be seen by others as well as well as how fulfilled we will be in our lives. Knowing how to walk in the glory light of the Lord can produce the kind of life Abraham was experiencing when Abimelech remarked that what ever Abraham was doing, God was with him.

Who Are You Like?
The Old Testament contains stories of people who are just like us. They are people who live in dysfunctional families where backbiting, deception, treachery, bitterness, and anger occur everyday. When Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, and Esau get together in Genesis 27, we see a messed up family who does everything wrong, and yet God's grace still uses this family to bring his promise of salvation to the world. In Genesis 27, we can see a little bit of ourselves in all of these characters, and a lot of ourselves in at least one of them. See who you are like and what you need to do to be like the Savior who died for people like this.

While Suffering Have An Answer -- 1 Peter 3:13-17
Normally, people are not treated bad for doing what is right. However, that is not always the case. Often when a person strives for righteousness, seeking to hold to what is good and right, they are treated badly. This message focuses on how we are Christians should react to this sort of suffering.

Our Father
One of the strongest words in our dictionary is father. For better or worse, the word seems to always invoke an emotional response. In Luke 15 Jesus tells three stories illustrating the heart of God toward those apart from Him. The third and final exhibits the heart of a father for a son whose life decisions seperate him from his father. In the story we see the heart of our heavenly Father, whose optimism, patience, grace, and forgiveness paint a self portrait of the God whose favorite title for Himself is Father.

Promises and Punishment
The promises of God are not all good. Along with promises of blessing, God has given us promises of judgment. In this appearance to Abraham, God has one of each. We must remember that we cannot pick and choose which promises we like. We must listen to God and learn his way to receive his blessing and avoid his punishment
