Sermons About Blood
Touching Jesus
This sermon looks at the famous accout of the woman with the blood issue. Jesus was on his way to heal Jarius daughter when someone ran up through the crowd and touched his the hem of his garment. It is a story of faith, desperation, humility, and miralces. We can learn so much from this woman, her situation, and how she finally solved all her problems, by touching Jesus in Faith.

Bread of Life
Jesus is controversial and will blow away our "sentimentalized" understanding of Him. He touches on easy topics such as believing in Him as the only way to eternal life, predestination, and a metaphor that causes many of his followers to quit Him.

The Cost of Freedom
The cost of freedom is blood. Once a year we observe Memorial Day to honor those who shed their blood and died for our freedoms. For the Christian, every day is a Memorial Day because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Our freedom should cause us to mourn the loss and celebrate the significance of the life once lived. We enjoy freedom in America because people have died for our country. Our freedom as citizens and as Christians is the result of a love-based sacrifice.

Given Over, Taken Out, Lifted Up
Hear the message of the cross of our Lord, announcing the sufficiency of the spotless sacrifice whose atoning blood covers the sins of the elect. In this sermon, we emphasize the end of the "road to the cross", where we see Christ leaving a trial with a guilty sentence, despite his obvious innocence before multiple counsels. We examine the circumstances and purpose of the crucifixion of Jesus, as well as the unintentionally prophetic title above His head: "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews". An exposition of John 19:16-19.

When Memory Matters
God's mercy to Israel because he remembered his covenant with Abraham is a powerful reminder of the God who never forgets, especially in light of the new covenant, by which Christians stand, written in the blood of Jesus.

The Lords Supper Remembering the Lamb that was slain
The Lord's supper is the time that we set aside to remember what Christ has done for us. Do we really contemplate all that Jesus did for us? During communion time, do we make it about us or about Jesus? May each one of us take a step back and glorify God for what he has done for us in Christ.
