Sermons About Body
A Body to Offer
During O.T. days, a Man could pay the debt of his Kinsman or relative. A slave could be redeemed by his brother or cousin. Jesus had to be our relative, a man, a man with a body to offer.

Body Builder’s
The Apostle Paul makes it very clear in Ephesians 4:11 - 16 that God’s mandate for all believers is to build up the Body of Christ and to equip the saints for the work of ministry. As we will discover in this morning’s message, however, God’s method for accomplishing this is through community - a community that is evidenced in the Trinity and was perpetuated by man being created in God’s image. The force of evil around us is determined to either destroy this community or to offer unsatisfying counterfeits. We see the manifestations of this in the rate of divorce and the breakup of families. We see it on an even larger scale in civil strife and war around the world because Satan hates unity! Today’s message will take us back to God’s original blueprint for personal and corporate growth among His people. You will also be challenged to become part of a small group where, in a large church, you can know and be known by others; where you can be authentic and have some of your deepest needs met through love and prayer; and where you can be accountable together according to God’s standard.

Matters of Life and Death (Romans 8:10)
Death came as punishment for sin. But for the Christian, we are declared righteous in Christ, so death is no longer a punishment. Instead, we have the great hope of eternal life, with glorified bodies, in the presence of Jesus our Lord. This far surpasses the joy we taste in this life. In his wisdom, God has bound up death but has not destroyed it, so as Christians we will still taste physical death. But we can do so in faith that God is in complete control, and in hope of a far better life where all of God's promises are made complete.
