Sermons About Boldness
Proper Evangelism
What does proper, effective evangelism look like? In the second chapter of the book of I Thessalonians the Apostle Paul commends the people for their work of faith, labor of love, and their witness to the world. In Chapter 2 he recalls the circumstances surrounding his coming to Thessalonica and the manner in which he came. In this message we learn that proper evangelism is Bold and Fearless, without Pretense, and it's hard work. (1 Thessalonians 2:1-8)

It's a Heart Thing
1 John 3:20-21 says, “For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward Godâ€. Confidence and condemnation are polar opposites, with opposite effect. When we’re confident we draw near. When we’re condemned we draw back. But, both, confidence and condemnation have this in common – they are purely subjective. They are subjective experiences of the heart based on what is believed to be true – objectively. Condemnation comes from believing the lie of the accuser, whereas confidence comes from believing the truth of God’s righteousness. Condemnation is the anticipation of rejection. Confidence is the anticipation of acceptance. It’s a heart thing.

Hold On and Consider
Jesus has opened the veil into the holy places thru His death on our behalf. He also cleansed our hearts and bodies so we are welcome in God's presence. He is the fulfillment of God's promises, giving us hope. In light of this we are able to consider how to encourage one another as the New Covenant community
