That Which is Born of Flesh
This message was preached for the first Sunday of Advent and reflects on the fallen nature of humanity using Nicodemus as a great example of one who is sincere but misguided in his religion. Jesus points out to him that it is not through heritage, relationship or zeal for righteousness that men are justified, but by faith in Christ! He tells him that he "must be born again." indicating that it is not merely human effort that is required but a new kind and quality of life given to us by God Himself!
