Because of the culture we're in, raising kids in today's world is not easy. But there is help found in God's word for parents. First, be an example and instill belief and values in them. Second, be there to teach them. Make spending time with your family a priority. Third, love them not just with words, but your actions. Love includes providing discipline and boundaries.

Our culture encourages us to live as close to the edge as possible, and as a result we pack our schedules and empty our checkbooks-all in a quest to grab the most we can from life. This kind of life is dangerous, however, because God created us with limits. The closer we approach our limits, the less margin and greater potential we have to burn ourselves out-as well as those around us.
