Sermons About Broken
Becoming a Person of Passion
Throughout October and November we will be studying the book of Nehemiah in a series called "Nehemiah: Becoming a Person of ______." This series will look at different characteristics exemplified by Nehemiah as he rebuilt Jerusalem's walls following the Israelites' Babylonian Exile. This week, Pastor Dave Robinson teaches about becoming a person of passion. Although Jerusalem's walls had been broken down for nearly 150 years by the time Nehemiah heard the news, his passionate reaction and subsequent prayer set the stage for significant action. Nehemiah's example should challenge us to be people of passion who stand in the gap of problems that exist in the world today.

This is a time to reflect upon our sins and confess them to the Lord, so we may be worthy for this remembrance!

Broken - Pt. 3 - The Process is the Product
Whether it's in building a solid business, or preparing an exquisite meal, the process is the product. It's true in our personal spiriutal lives as well. The process God takes us through -- no matter how difficult -- is producing in us the incredible product that God desires.

Broken Pt. 1 - Broken and Blessed
The words "broken" and "blessing" don't typically go together. Brokeness implies pain, suffering, and testing. It's not the easy road, but brokenness is one of God's primary tools to rid us of self-reliance and to bring us to a place of total God-reliance . . . the place of ultimate blessing.

No Perfect People Allowed (John 4)
Jesus went out of his way to meet a woman who was broken, needy, hurting, and outcast. He accepted her as she was but exposed her brokenness by way of showing her that what He had to offer could satisfy her needs.
