Cast down but not conquered
As Christians there are times when we are under pressure, facing hardship and difficulty. We should not see this as unusual. In times of difficulty we find our Lord to be an ever-present source of strength and comfort. We are weak but He is mighty. We are: Pressured but not hemmed in Persecuted by men but not abandoned by God At our wits end but not at our hopes end Knocked down but not knocked out God uses our sufferings for His purposes. As we identify with Christ we find: Sharing the life of Christ shares its risks (no cross, no crown) We can draw on a power that is sufficient for life and greater than death Through our suffering we may draw others into the light and love of God
