Sermons About Celebration
Celebrating the Word of God
Over the next few days we are going to be celebrating the Word of God and the wonderful accomplishment many have made in reading the Bible from cover to cover in 90 days. In our service, we will have a time of testimony and praise to God for how He has used His Word to speak to you and work in your life. Don’t be bashful. Let the redeemed of the Lord speak! Today in the Word, Pastors Don Sweeting and Marty Martin will be talking about the power of the Word and where we go next. Then on Tuesday afternoon we have a pastor’s conference at CCPC co-sponsored by Zondervan and the Bible in 90 Days. Join us on Tuesday evening for our Bible in 90 Days Celebration!

Gear for the Journey: Celebration
Part 8 of 8. Easter Sunday. Easter gives us reason to celebrate. Equation 2
What is it about Easter that makes it so special? What are we really celebrating? Whether you have grown up in the church or you are un-churched the answer is very obvious. But what does the look, the feel, the tone of our celebration tell others about this day? Is it a celebration of food, family, new clothes or perhaps a change of season? No, Easter is a celebration of the greatest single event in human history, the event that is the answer for everyone who has ever lived. Today as we consider The Equation in the context of Easter morning, our prayer is that we would leave here celebrating this event like we have never done before. This is week two of our Easter series The Equation.

Joy in the City
Joy is meant to be an part of the normal Christian experience. Affliction and prosperity tend to stifle our joy, revealing our joy is being sought in something/someone besides Jesus. Joy prepares us to worship and moves us to freely dedicate ourselves, money and time to God to accomplish His mission.
