Sermons About Change
Standing in the Gap
Over the next 4 weeks we are going to talk about the call to transform our culture through missional living. "Missional" seems to be the latest "buzz-word" in the evangelical world; it describes a life that is lived "on mission". How should Kelowna be different because we were here? To begin this series, we begin by looking at the incredible power God has entrusted to His people, and the expression of that power through our prayers. We have been given authority to bind and loose on earth in the name of Jesus. Do we have any idea of the power given to us? Key Passage: Ezekial 22:30

A Fresh Start
People make all kinds of New Year's Resolutions, but few ever keep them. Why not make a 'Revolution' this year and truly radically change your life by living for Christ. We need to focus on our hearts, our opportunities, and our relationships for the new year. We can change our actions by focusing on our hearts and trusting the Holy Spirit to lead us. We also need to focus on those God-given opportunities that often come disguised as problems. Drawing from the new book "In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day" by Pastor Mark Batterson, we can learn how to become lion chasers in the new year. And finally, by focusing on our relationships, we learn how to live at peace with one another and draw others to Christ.
