Who do you see as the source of your salvation? Who do you see in the Bread when we observed communion this morning? Do you feel sad since Jesus was crucified and He died? Or do you feel happy because He was raised on the third day and defeated death? Do you understand this? Are you looking for Christ among the dead or among the living? In other words: Do you believe. Do you have faith?
The Book of Daniel begins with a story of how Daniel and his 3 friends used God's gift of food to strengthen their bodies, minds and spirits as they were forced to serve their Babylonian captors. While food is a gift, it (and a number of other things or substances in our lives) may also hold power over us.
Rejection of Jesus Christ is not intellectual, philosophical, or evidential; it is spiritual and moral.
