It is clear why Jesus came to live on Earth; to save His people from sin. In today's culture this is harder and harder to teach, as the world tries to make Jesus what they want Him to be. And then when disaster strikes, they wonder why "He allows this to happen".
If we do not understand the birth (nativity) of Christ, we do not grasp the significance of Christmas. It is NOT what the world made of it (presents, gifts and Santa), but it is the most single significant event in history. Only by believing that Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives can we be saved from God's wrath. Do you believe on the One God send?
The birth of Jesus was not the beginning. It was the culmination of God's work in all previous generations. God looked upon the world and was so appalled by our behavior that He send His only Son to die for our sins! Has the birth of Jesus Christ touched your soul?
What are we to do with what we study and learn in our churches? What are we to do when we walk out the church doors? We are to fulfill the Gospel (Great) Commission! We are to tell the lost about Jesus Christ. Are we doing this all the time? Are we comfortable in our "religion" or do we allow the Spirit to stir our hearts and be a true soldier in the Army of God?
How do you view baptism. Is it a ritual? Is it a Church Doctrine? What takes place in the water when people are baptized? It does not save you, but it is the start of your walk with Christ. It is the outward showing of what is happening in the heart. You HAVE to turn away from your old life and start living according to God's Word (Galatians 5:16-18)
