Jesus Has Come to Camp in our Neighborhood
Jesus Has Come to Camp in our Neighborhood What does the word incarnation mean? There always was a ____________ in eternity past – even in the midst of tremendous glory (John 17:5) A ___________ was prepared for Him. (Hebrews 10:5; John 1:14) He was born in Bethlehem with a _____________ for a bassinet. (Luke 2: 7) When He was approximately ____________, his parents escaped with him during the night and fled to Egypt. (Matthew 2:14) When He was ____________ they left Egypt. After the death of Herod it was safe to return to Nazareth. (Matthew 2:23) At the age of _______________, at His baptism he began his public ministry. (Matthew 3:13) Most of what we know about Jesus took place the next three years. He was crucified at the age of 33. God raised Him from the dead three days later. Forty days later at his 10th appearance, the eleven saw him return to heaven. (Gospels) There are three practical ministry points of the incarnation for Christ followers today. 1. Our ______________ is complete. 2. High-Priestly ________________ is made possible for each one of us. 3. The visible ____________ of Jesus Christ will take place.

The Birth of a King! A Study in Psalms, Psalm 2
In our Psalm (written by King David), though understood at the time through the eyes of their own story, where kings are the raging gentile nations and the Israelites are the “Chosen Ones,†we see the Spirit led truth of the future-coming Messiah. Acts 4:25-26 reinterprets this Psalm, showing us that at the core of His plan, it was not intended as an “us against them†mentality, but that in reality all of collective humanity has rejected Christ and placed Him on the cross, God sent His King/Messiah the first time to be rejected, beaten and killed in our place, so that we could be His broken, humble body to a dying world, and that one day, He would return, and we would rule with Him in eternity. That’s what Christmas is about, the Birth of a KING!
