Finding Professional Margin
The key to professional margin is focus. We should learn to work toward what we're good at--which means improving our strengths and delegating our areas of weakness. When we learn to do less, we accomplish more.
Revolutionaries Contribute
To be revolutionary, we need to regularly contribute to God’s mission of helping people find their way back to Him. As we look even more closely at David’s life of contribution we will see how it compares to the lives of other revolutionaries like Jim and Elisabeth Elliot. Their selfless contribution to God’s mission changed the lives of those around them for eternity.
Destiny
Our souls crave lives of purpose and significance that ultimately can only come from God. “We cannot live the life of our dreams without an irrational sense of destiny. And all of us have our dreams. More than that, all of us need our dreams. Some of us sadly are sleeping through them. All of us long to become something more than we are. We are driven to achieve, moved to accomplish, fueled by ambition. It burns hotter in some than in others, but it is within all of us. We’re all searching for our unique purpose, our divine destiny, or simply a sense of siginificance or some measure of success.†-Erwin McManus, Soul Cravings
A Time to Run
There's something in all of us that wants to walk closer to the line as possible. By setting morale margins, we protect ourselves from experiencing the consequences of sin. Because sexual sin has the greatest consequences, we should always ask ourselves, "Am I fleeing from or flirting with the line?"
What Women Need
You’ve heard people say—if you just have love-everything is going to work out fine. The reality is that there is some skill involved—there are some things we need to know about each other to be able to make it work out the very best—the way God wants it to be. In this message we explore what women need.
Less is More
This message introduces the Take It To The Limit message series which was originally given by Andy Stanley. Our culture encourages us to live as if we have no limits. So we fill up our schedules and empty our bank accounts. We do as much as we can, spend as much as we can and acquire as much as we can. Life on the edge means life with no margin. Life without margin is a recipe for personal disaster. Margin is the space between your current performance and your limits. When you reach the limit of your resources, strength, capacity or self-control, you have no margin. And without margin, you have no room for error. The consequences of margin-less living are most apparent in our relationships. Love, intimacy, and friendship happen in the unstructured, unhurried world of margin.
Romance
You’ve heard people say—if you just have love-everything is going to work out fine. The reality is that there is some skill involved—there are some things we need to know about each other to be able to make it work out the very best—the way God wants it to be. In this message we explore romance.
Revolutionaries Celebrate
The world is hungering to know what God is like, and that is not just about information and spiritual data. You can't really know what you need to know about God outside of experiencing Him through celebration.
The Draft
God picks each of us to be part of what He is up to in the world - to be part of His team. When Jesus picks you to be on his team, He’s calling you to be a part of something that is about the most important thing in the world. He calls us to invest our lives in the lives of others and in helping connect people to God.
Sarah
For many people, the OT is confusing, irrelevant or both. In this series we'll help people understand the high-points of the book of Genesis from chapter 12 all the way through chapter 50, the end of the book. We'll look at some of the main characters and events in their lives and see how God is in the process of restoring the world and what that has to do with us and our lives today.
