Sermons About Clothes
What To Wear- Living in the Light of Eternity pt 1: (Romans 11-14)
In our passage, Paul uses the picture of taking off and putting on clothing to represent sanctification, the Christian’s forsaking the sins that remain in his remaining fallenness or flesh and embracing the righteousness of his new self, his new creation in Jesus Christ. But before the apostle presents that vital truth, he wants to have his readers’ full attention on 3 essential factors. He urges them to wake up first of all, from their spiritual lethargy and secondly, to wake up from their sin. Paul is saying that you can not fully put on Christ until you see how easy it is for a Christian to be spiritually lethargic in their faith and how easily they can get weighed down in their sin.

You're Invited
The parable we're looking at this weekend is one of the last few Jesus told in the days just before His crucifixion. The atmosphere around Jerusalem is charged with tension as the confrontations between Jesus and the religious leaders of the day grow more heated. Matthew 22:45 tells us that they KNEW Jesus was talking about them! And so they were determined to destroy Him. Jesus gives them one more story ... one more invitation. In a long series of invitations that has begun with the prophets, we are invited to the king's house! The preparations have been made, the table is spread, the celebration is about to begin - and we're all invited - just one item remains - my "RSVP" - your "RSVP". The King waits for a response! Key Passage: Matthew 22:1-14

Anxiety: Symptom of a Bigger Problem
Anxiety is a sign that there is a bigger problem in our hearts- unbelief. It reveals areas where we are not trusting in our heavenly Father, but have instead trusted in earthly treasures. Jesus offers the cure for our anxiety.
