The "E" Word
Somewhere between, "If you were to die today are you sure you would go to heaven" and "Preach the gospel at all costs and if necessary use words," lies the truth about the "E" word. Thursday we will begin a discussion about evangelism; including fears, hang-ups, and misconceptions that surround this subject.

The World at Your Doorstep
The "world" in all it's cultural and spiritual diversity has been brought to our neighbourhood. Where once we had only a few cultures, and mostly Christianised people to reach out to, today we have people of almost every culture and worldview imaginable. How can we handle the challenges and opportunities presented to us without even leaving our street?

The Main Mission Of The Church
In Luke 24:36-53, Luke recorded the FIVE WAYS Jesus motivated and equipped His disciples to carry on His mission after He left. 1. He convinced them He was real (vv. 36-43) 2. He clarified their message and mission (vv. 44-47) 3. He commissioned them for their mission (v. 48) 4. He covenanted to empower them for their mission (v. 49) 5. He consecrated them for their mission (vv. 50-53)

Our Commission
Jesus left us with a responsibility to spread the good news about Him all over the earth. He is no longer on the earth, now it’s our job. People will never know if we don’t tell them. If we love others as we should, we will not want them to go to hell.

Last Words (Mark 16:9-20)
Jesus commands his disciples, and by extension his church, to preach the gospel to all nations, making and baptizing disciples. We preach the gospel, not to be intolerant or disrespectful, but out of love for others and because our Lord and Savior has commanded us to do so. He promises to pour out his Holy Spirit on us to empower us to preach the gospel and to care for one another. And in his ascension, he proves that he has completed everything necessary to satisfy God's justice, secure our acceptance before God, and provide for our every need. We belong to him!

Matthew 28:16-20 (PM)
On our first official Sunday morning worship service, Adam preaches Matt. 28:16-20. Christ presents His authority over all the earth and His plan for the Church to make disciples from every people group in the world. He demands that people follow Him as His disciples, and then those believers must intentionally go to make other obedient disciples.
