Sermons About Community
The Gospel is...
The goal of the Gospel is to create a Christ-treasuring community that is empowered by the Gospel for purpose of mission together. It is how God has chosen to show off His glory and make His grace known to our hurting and broken world. Lets look at the gospel and then start to talk about it’s implications for our shared lives. “Jesus Christ, God’s promised Rescuer and Ruler, lived our life, died our death and rose again in triumphant vindication as the first fruits of the new creation to bring forgiven sinners together under His gracious reign as His Kingdom People.”

i dream of reconnect... reliant Reconnect – September 13, 2009 Text: Mark 4:30-32; Acts 2:17-18 Key Thought: To be reliant on God is to work alongside Him, bringing dreams to life. Though this is one of the smallest of seeds, it grows to become one of the largest of plants, with long branches where birds can come and find shelter.” Mark 4:30-32, NLT If you want to build a ship, don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Part 2: Living a Life of Gospel Intentionality
Gospel intentionality is a lifestyle that is seeking every opportunity to proclaim the gospel with actions and words, to both believers and unbelievers. It is a life that is not compartmentalized into religious activities and non-religious activities but instead sees everything as an opportunity to proclaim the gospel. This includes hobbies, home, work, school and the church. A gospel intentional person is a repentant person who recognizes his or her own pressing need for the gospel. In the following message, we further explore the book of Mark to see how Jesus both lived and taught a life of gospel intentionality.

Community and the 'S' Word
Will we be a church that takes grace seriously, where everyone, no matter your past and no matter your brokenness, is welcome to come and see? Or will we be a church that takes sin seriously, that takes the holiness of God seriously? The sad thing is that we often do better at one than the other. In this message we will look at what it means to be a community that takes both grace and sin seriously.
