The Bread of Life
In recent weeks we have examined Biblical texts in the Gospel of John specific to isolating the miracles of Jesus. There were seven in number. Along with these seven miracles in the Gospel of John, there are also seven self-identifying statements from Jesus that we call “I am” Statements. Starting today, I want to show you these seven statements in their context so that we might better know Him as we seek to make Him known to others. I pray that our study will be extremely profitable for us in our own discipleship of knowing Jesus. The first is found in John 6:35. Let’s read just that one verse, but then keep our Bibles open as we consider the context that produces this statement.
More Than A Day
The Bible isn’t naïve to the struggle to give thanks. From the early days to the latter days, ungratefulness surfaces.
Are We There Yet?
As we read through this section of Numbers we discover that those who complained, who did not have faith in God’s blessings and promises, spent the rest of their days wandering in the wilderness. . THOSE WHO CHOOSE MURMURING AS THEIR LIFESTYLE WILL SPEND THEIR LIFETIME IN THE WILDERNESS.
Giving Thanks/Seeing Worth
Giving thanks is a learned discipline. It is entirely dependent upon us. Giving thanks is what we were created to do, and what we will do forever again someday. In the meantime, it is the very spiritual glue that holds us close to God.
