Sacred Salvation: Romans 10.1-13
We live in a pluralistic society pointing people to many different ways to get to heaven. Scripture speaks of one sacred salvation that is available to all people. It is the only way, the only truth and the only life. Jesus is our salvation and hope of heaven. Today we expose Romans 10.1-13 to see the beautiful salvation that we have in Jesus.

Christmas Comfort
Scrooge was shown his future – he was to die alone and sad, and fearful, but here Isaiah gives us a glimpse of true comfort: because Jesus triumphed over the grave, our future as a broken community is to rise on eagle’s wings!Isn’t it comforting that history ends with this picture – a picture of one of the most tender things one person can do for another, which is to gently touch their cheek and dry their tears? You have to be in intimate relationship with someone to do that don’t you? And you see what we’re shown in Scripture at the end of Revelation is that Jesus Himself will come to you, and with the very hands that were pierced with wounds of love for you, will brush away your final tears, which are precious to him, and will store them away in his bottle with all the rest that you cry right now. Then, you will know joy, and it will be a greater joy than Scrooge even knew on Christmas morning.

My heart determines my actions. “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.†Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) “For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.†Matthew 12:34 “As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man.†Proverbs 27:19 “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.†Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV) "Don't you understand?" Jesus asked him. "Anything you eat passes through the stomach and then goes out of the body. But evil words come from an evil heart and defile the person who says them. For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all other sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands could never defile you and make you unacceptable to God!" Matthew 15:19, 20 (NLT) My heart needs to be examined. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Psalm 139:23 (NIV) My heart can change. For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Romans 10:9, 10 (NLT) Jesus: “I'm here inviting outsiders, not insiders--an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out.†Luke 5:32 (MSG)
