Sometimes we find ourselves sinking under its weight; the pressure is too much; we are stressed out. What should we do in such circumstances? How can we prepare ourselves for the pressures of life that are bound to come our way in future? The writers of the Psalms understand life in the raw, life as it really is; they know the issues of the day; and they express their feelings. They sing out of their emotions and frustrations. Sometimes the songs are downbeat, even morose - they sing laments. Other times the singers are elated and play their instruments with great joy. Their words express their mood. In Psalm 27 Great King David is expressing his feelings of being afraid. Yet he writes to tell us where to look for our strength. He is answering the question, whom shall I fear?
