Sermons About Consumerism
Against All Odds
If you're going to live out the beatitudes in this world, then you will endure some sort of persecution or suffering on behalf of Jesus. The true nature of this world, being evil, opposes the goodness & justice of God's ways - a paradox that may not make sense, but it's true. We should not only expect resistance, but we should be thankful for it - because it proves we're on the right track. The church following Christ against all odds will be the church that sees the kingdom reign of God today! So, will you live, work, think, give, consume differently? BE different. Key passage: Matthew 5:10-12

Hungering for Him
As you begin to study the Word of God to learn and grow, you come to realize that there are plenty of terms in the Bible which our modern English words simply fall short in doing justice to the meaning, or it has morphed into something which has a very different meaning than it did in Scripture. One of the words that I've come to appreciate in a far deeper way than ever before is the word "heart" in the Bible.
