Faith: Walking by Faith
What does it mean to live a life of faith? What's the difference between walking by faith and walking by sight? The last of a six-part series on the Essence of Faith, this message explores what it means to walk by faith. We explore the example of Paul from 2 Corinthians - his life situation and his response - and how Paul refused to let circumstances diminish his faith. Pastor Dave Robinson shares principles from Paul's example and then asks us to consider what difference an eternal perspective makes in our lives when we face difficult situations and circumstances.

A Reformed-Charismatic Approach to Prophecy
God is still giving the gift of prophecy to his people; we should desire all gifts and the gift of prophecy in particular; and we should strive to practice this gift in obedience to scripture. Prophecy as practiced in the NT church was primarily concerned with the edification, encouragement and consolation of God's people rather than with prediction of the future. Contrasted with the gift of tongues, although both gifts are equally a work of the Holy Spirit, prophecy is able to be understood by all; it is addressed towards people rather than towards God; it builds up not only the speaker but also the hearers; and it convicts unbelievers. Phil also discusses some practicals of prophecy in the Lord's day meeting in our church.

Urban Jesus, Part 1
The city changes you. In many ways the city becomes you and you become the city. The church at Corinth allowed the city to change them, even their view of God. Paul writes the first few chapters of I Corinthians focused on the person of Christ and how Jesus should change even how we live in the city. Urban Jesus is a study on how city dwellers should be transformed by the Gospel of Jesus even more than their city.
