Psalm 89: The Davidic Covenant (part 2)
In this 2nd part of Psalm 89 the author gives an oracle on the covenant between Yahweh and David. He is highlighting the unconditional promises while mentioning the conditional part of the covenant that applies to each individual king in the Davidic Dynasty. Yahweh's utter faithfulness and sovereign rule and choice come out strongly in parts 1 and 2 of this psalm.
