When Not Waiting Can Be Costly
What in common does shampoo have with a steamy adult shower scene or a car sales commercial with a bikini clad woman draped across the hood? It is said that Smart Marketing Strategies are those designed to provoke consumer spending and to do so, the content must be provocative, edgy if necessary and should aim to incite the emotions. My response to this is “HOW LOW CAN YOU GO? Studies show that emotions play a major role in impulse spending. Impulse spending isn’t the only vice that temptation provokes. Tune in to find out more.
Debt
If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that the financial world can be a volatile place. We live in a different economic climate now. We’ve learned that raises and even jobs are no longer a foregone conclusion. For the first time, we can’t assume that our kids will enjoy a greater level of future prosperity. For a lot of folks these days, the financial future seems uncertain--but it doesn’t have to be. Through this three-week message series as we hear what the Bible has to say about how to thrive in financially unstable times. God’s desire for each of us is that we will find His blessing in the New Normal.

For 13 weeks many families at HFC have been going through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. Families have paid down over $387,000 in consumer debt over those 13 weeks. Today's message is about "practicing what we preach". HFC's Finance Chair cut up the church credit card to show that church leadership is committed to leading the way to being free from debt.
