The Gift of Community (1 John 1:1-7)

Community always begins with God, and God gives us community as a means of transforming our lives more and more into the image of his son. However, community is not merely a tool for growth, but also a gift from God for our joy as well as for our good.

Heart Treasure
What do you treasure above all else? What things in your life are non-negotiable for your happiness? For some, the answers to these questions might be their careers, checking account balances, comfort, size of their home, their families, and the list goes on and on. Each of us are guilty to some degree of giving these things, which ultimately fade away, a priority in our hearts that God meant only for Him. See Me
When light shines in darkness, some are enlightened and some are blinded. Light always creates division, and Jesus had a way of dividing crowds. Some were sold out and some were confounded by him and disbelieved. Much of our confounded disbelief simply comes from the fact that we are looking for enlightenment from sources other than the true Light. Follow a man born blind as he sees One who enlightens him forever.
