Sermons About Dead
The Incomparable Riches of His Grace
After some very lofty praise of our glorious God, the Apostle Paul turns his attention to us. The outlook is grim as we are described as dead, enslaved, and condemned. By verse 4 though, Paul looks back to God and describes how in Jesus the dead receive life, the enslaved are set free, and the condemned are forgiven. All of this is a gift from God to be received and enjoyed. But this great gift of salvation comes with responsibilities. We are called to leave the path that we had been walking on and begin to walk out a life that pleases God and is productive for His purpose.

Is That Faith Alive?
Among those who believe they are right with God, there are two kinds of people: Those who really are right, and those who only THINK they are. How can we tell the difference? Those who are right with God have a living faith. A faith that loves God and responds to his conviction and discipline in their lives. The Death Life (Romans 6:1-18)
The key to victory in the Christian life is to understand the reality that we are dead to sin and alive to God because of Christ’s finished work on the cross. Much of the sermon’s material comes from Tim Keller’s exegesis on Romans 6:1-18 from his sermon called, “Perfect Freedom.”
