Sermons About Decisions
We Study to Remain Faithful
As children begin to grow up, parents have many questions. The most important question ought to be - "Will they remain faithful?" In 1 Thessalonians it is clear to see "this church" was a great one...yet Paul was still concerned that they remain faithful. Why? Because, "It is for the faith and the faithfulness of others that we exist as the Body of Christ." Choose today who you will serve
In both the Old Testament and the New Testament there came a time to chose what path you will take. In the Old Testament Joshua put that question to the Israelites. In the New Testament, as Jesus teaches his disciples who He is and what that means, the teaching becomes too hard for some and they leave. Jesus asks the twelve if they too will leave as some have done. Throughout our life, God puts the question to us each day. Who will we serve? Who will we follow? We may believe we make these decisions in a vacuum but we don't. We are influenced by our fallen and sinful human flesh, the peer pressure of this world, and the enemy of God. We are in the midst of a great spiritual war and if we are not armored up and immersed in God's Word we will make bad choices with eternal consequences.
