Being Sure to Move from Creeds to Deeds
Primary Claim: Participating in God's plan requires genuine devotion to him.
God has called every follower of Christ to 'fish with Jesus', that is, to faithfully cast the 'net' of the gospel into the lives of the spiritually lost.
We start the imperatives of Jesus in Matthew 6. We return to commands that Jesus gave in order to be the disciples who truly "abide in His word" (Jn. 8:31). Beware of your service is really beware of your heart. Should His followers serve in secret or in the open. 911 is a day that virtually everyone remembers. We remember it not only for the disaster, but for the prayer, unity, patriotism, and circumspection it brought about. Such times of moral clarity are rare and they almost never last. Yet, it is precisely at such times that God often gives us special insight.
