Paul’s prayer to the Ephesians, (and us), was for them to “grasp” God’s all-surpassing love. To grasp how wide, long, high and deep is God’s love is to understand love in its complete fullness. There is no way this side of heaven we can fathom God’s surpassing love; to do so is to grasp God Himself because He is love. We can only believe in love and praise God for love and pray for understanding to grasp how wide, how long, how high and how deep is God’s surpassing love.
The first step of redemption is knowing who we are in Christ. Therefore, we must know the Gospel.

Some people are consumed with their walk with God. But God is concerned with your walk with Him. If your depth of understanding the Word is so narrow that only you understand. Expand your understanding so that you can share with others. Lay aside all things not necessary for your walk with God.
The Holy Spirit has been given to empower the follower Christ for the most miraculous of feats: to allow Jesus Christ to live His life of love out through ours.
