Sermons about Devil
Who are you a child of? God or the devil?
God's word tells us that the Devil attacks us with fiery darts. These darts come in many forms but one of the most effective are the lies the enemy whispers to us. Lies that take us away from the truths of God's promises. Pastor J. Lewis dives into the word and shows us exactly where we can find examples of God's truth to combat the lies of the enemy.
We are living in some dark times. Most of the world is oppressed with depression, discouragement, and sadness. The devil wants you to feel depressed, discouraged, and be overcome by life, trouble, and negative circumstances. But God's promises are realized in dark times, and He wants you to experience fullness of joy as you acknowledge and experience His manifest Presence. This inspiring and practical message will teach you how to cultivate and experience the manifest Presence of God, which will navigate you through whatever dark season you may be facing.
We have an adversary, Satan, who is bent on devouring and destroying us. But he is not equal to God. Resist him, remember those who suffer and have suffered for the Gospel, and follow their example, and rest in the God of all grace who has called you to His eternal glory, promises to restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
When we recognize who we are, we will live the life we are meant to live . . . submitting to God, resisting the Devil, drawing near to God.
Timely message from pastor Joel on Our Defeated Enemy. We look at Satan and demons, as well as the difference between demonic possession and demonic oppression. We aren't to be ignorant of what the devil does and wants to do, otherwise he can take advantage of us. (2 Corinthians 2:10-11) We need to be aware of his wiles, his strategies and methods of trickery and deceit. (Ephesians 6:10-11) We look in depth at the authority we have over demons through the name of Jesus. (Luke 10:17-20) And we see how little power of God it actually takes to cast out a demon. (Luke 11:20-22) Our enemy truly is defeated. He is a roaring lion that has been defanged and declawed by the Lord. We need revelation in this area from the Lord so we can be fully persuaded of our authority, and then do something with it! (Romans 8:38-39) We need to pick up where Jesus left off!
To be a Christian requires different skills than what many of us develop in this modern world. It requires an intentionality to trust; an eagerness to be disciplined ; and a receptive heart to look for the mystery of God among us.
