Praising God (Psalm 8)
Life is filled with all sorts of landscape. An all terrain faith is equally balanced for the breathtaking view from the mountaintop and the confusing trek though a cold, dark valley. It provides adequate support for walking in rough, rocky stretches and stability for the slippery spots. In this exploration of the Psalms, we will see that no matter where you find yourself in life there is an appropriate faith response to your life situation. Are you ready for the hike?

A Worshipping Community
These days, there is an appetite for spirituality and a distaste for "church." Is this really what God wanted? The church was intended to be a dynamic, life-giving movement of people who experience and extend the love of God together. In fact, Jesus said that you can't be spiritual on your own, that the spiritual life is something we do together. If you catch a glimpse of God's dream for doing life together, we are convinced you'll never want anything less.

We the Church: Emanate
Being is more important than doing. What we do emanates from who we are, and we are a people who have been transformed by a God who is reconciling all the world through Jesus. We take part in this reconciliation through the active life of the Church, storytellers proclaiming divine initiative.

Making Room
The discipline of fasting is not one that has been widely practiced in evangelical circles but is having a bit of a “renewal” in our generation. More and more we hear people and ministries calling us to times of prayer and fasting. What is this practice all about? Why was it so important to the Jewish community and what can we learn from this discipline? In our text this weekend, Jesus simply assumes that we are a people who fast, and challenges us once again to fast for the right reasons and in the right way. Key Passages: Matthew 6:16-18 and Isaiah 58:6

What to Do When You Face Mission:Impossible
When life feels like "Mission:Impossible," it's time to call for outside help. With God on our side, we can walk through life's challenges rather than running away from them. In this sermon, we explore Jacob's prayer for God's help as he faced the seemingly impossible reunion with his brother Esau.

So, how do you change? The answer: GRACE + TRUTH + TIME = LIFE CHANGE

What's going on with people who claim to be Christians -- people who have prayed the prayer, been baptized, and show up to church, etc. -- but their lives just don't show much evidence at all of their "new birth"? What's up with that?
