Sermons About Devotion
A Learning Community
These days, there is an appetite for spirituality and a huge distaste for "church." Is this really what God wanted? The church was intended to be a dynamic, life-giving movement of people who experience and extend the love of God together. In fact, Jesus said that you can't be spiritual on your own, that the spiritual life is something we do together. If you catch a glimpse of God's dream for doing life together, we are convinced you'll never want anything less.

Making Room
The discipline of fasting is not one that has been widely practiced in evangelical circles but is having a bit of a “renewal†in our generation. More and more we hear people and ministries calling us to times of prayer and fasting. What is this practice all about? Why was it so important to the Jewish community and what can we learn from this discipline? In our text this weekend, Jesus simply assumes that we are a people who fast, and challenges us once again to fast for the right reasons and in the right way. Key Passages: Matthew 6:16-18 and Isaiah 58:6

Who'll Be a Witness?
As Christ has come into the world as a light shining in darkness, so we must carry that light forth, continually shining Christ forth through us.

Cross-Training
While "training" may be a word more associated with things of sports than things of the Spirit, Paul's call to Timothy to "train yourself for godliness is a call to all believers to live everyday, in every way, for God through Christ.
