Bless the LORD Who Blesses
As David shows us in Psalm 103, we can forget all of the LORD’s benefits. So in this psalm David helps us to delight in all the ways God has blessed us. And the natural response then is to bless God with our all.

Forming Habits Because They Form Us
In many ways our daily life is a liturgy, a series of repeated activities that reveals what we worship. Our habits are a reflection of what we believe, hope and love. But the reverse is also true. Our beliefs, hopes, and loves are all strongly influenced by our habits. Our habits form us as much as we form them. For this reason, we must be intentional about forming habits through which God will (re)form us.
It's a Disciplined Life
Today we start a new year. The days ahead have potential for new relationships and ventures. Hope in the ‘new’ is high. But newness often fades when something newer comes along, or we no longer perceive it as new. Pastor Jon Palmer challenges you to ask, “What if instead of starting something ‘new’ I focused on something that doesn’t change? What if instead of being carried on the wave of new, I chose to invest time, finances, and abilities in following Jesus?”
Simeon's Song of Salvation
In Luke 2 Simeon is waiting. He is waiting for the promise of salvation to be kept. He sees it in the Christ-child. All our waiting is focused in on his waiting, which in turn is focused even more sharply on the incarnate One, God-with-us and God-One-of-us. If God asked you, What are you waiting for? Could you answer well? Every time we are forced to stand in line, get stuck behind someone in the left turn lane who daydreams through the arrow, or have our wants and wishes postponed, God’s Spirit is gracing us with an opportunity to remember that what we are really waiting for goes much deeper to our life with God: waiting for the Lord’s presence and the fulfillment of all time in Christ’s second coming.
