Sermons About Direction
Forgetting Self, Following God
Following God's direction is not a simple task. It is made more complex because it doesn't always feel right. Joseph provides a good example of a person who took up his cross to follow God's direction in his life.

Victory - Our Part to Play
God told the Israelites that He was going to lead them out of bondage, to the land He had promised to give to their ancestors. When the people got there, all but Joshua and Caleb refused to believe that the Lord could do it. They didn’t want to have to work for it. They thought their labor was over now that they had left Egypt. They just wanted God to give it to them. God provides victory for us, but we have to possess it. There will be battles, some that The Lord fights for us, some that we must fight for ourselves, in the name of the Lord. People today are just like the Israelites back then were. They just want someone to do it all for them. They want someone to pray for them, to work a miracle for them. They don’t want to have to do anything themselves. Our victory, in all the promises of God, is tied to our actions, the actions of faith that He tells us to do.

Abraham - led one step at the time
The Lord will lead us one step at a time. If we do not take the first step, He will not give us the second step, and on and on and on like that. We have to take the step directly in front of us. Some steps are tests, if we don’t pass the test, we don’t get to move on to the next step. We don’t get the next direction until we pass the test.

Living as Ambassadors
Let us live as though we actually are members of a heavenly kingdom here on earth - we are of the world - but we are not a part of it. We are called to live as strangers in our land rather than going into "auto-pilot" and missing Holy Spirit opportunities each day in our day by day.
