The Church Working and God Moving
Why do we gather this morning in a sanctuary? Because you are saved? You see it as an obligation? You are curious about God's Word? Or you have no idea why, but something told you to go. One thing is certain; we are gathered to worship God. He called all of us here together, no matter what our background is, to share His vision (Word) with all of us.
Fasting, Garments, and Vessels....True Christianity , Part 2
Many speak highly of Jesus Christ and the Christian Life. But when you look at their actions and the way they live their lives, they are just like the world. This is opposed to Christ Jesus! God knows their heart and if they do not die to themselves and be born again, they will hear the words "I do not know you" on the day of judgment.
Fasting, Garments, and Vessels....True Christianity
Are you like the Pharisees? They thought to be acceptable to God because of their religious practices. They thought to be better then "the sinners". If you are the same you might be one of the vipers John the Baptist is talking about in Luke 3:7. Ask yourself if your baptism was only a ritual to silence your conscience (and God will accept me now), or did you come out of the water a changed person. Is your focus on Jesus? Are you His servant, slave? Does your life revolve ONLY about pleasing Him?
More than Conquerors
We are more than conquerors in our faith that Jesus Christ is alive. The result of your salvation; your trust in Him, is that you love Him, thus you obey Him. As a result of this your mind is set on the Holy Spirit and not on the world. Ask yourself these questions: 1) Do you speak Jesus Christ? 2) Do you belong to Jesus Christ?
