A foothold is a secure position from which it is difficult to be dislodged. There is nothing Satan likes better then a foothold within a church or a home. Our Enemy is just waiting to devour and destroy us if we let him. These footholds happen when we disconnect from God. Are you looking for freedom from footholds. Freedom can only be found in Christ.

A Leap of Faith in our Churches
Are we willing to take a leap of faith in our churches? Are we willing to unite under the banner of Christ? Are we willing to take a leap of faith out of bitterness and into unity? Are you willing to say to god that no matter what may happen i will trust you? Are we willing to unite in Christ? If the church is not going to be united, how are we any different than the world. Are we willing to take this leap of faith?

I WIll Be Happy...When I am Understood
When was the last time you were frustrated for not being understood? We all deal with discord and disagreement. What should we do? How should we respond? Consider what Paul says here regarding unity and the gospel. Ultimately, what matters most is that Jesus wins. When we are filled with the gospel, we will be happy...whether we are understood by others or not, because we know that God knows us and that is all that really matters.

United for a Purpose (1 Corinthians 1:10-17)
Paul appeals to the Corinthians to walk in unity. Pride was creating factionalism in the Corinthian church. Humility was the answer; a humility that embraces the ugliness and offense of the cross. In the face of the cross and the gospel there is no room for our pride, because they highlight that we have nothing good in ourselves.

Our world exists in a perpetual state of division - divisions along cultural, racial, class, religious and political lines. Christ came that the whole of creation might come into unity with Christ and with each other.
