I am the Door
In today's message, we consider Jesus' statement, "I am the door." This door symbolizes access, care, and security. What does it mean to enter through the door of Jesus? Listen and find out.
The Door
We are in the Gospel of John again today. We began this year considering the 7 miracles of Jesus as told my John. Now, we are considering the 7 “I Am” statements of John. Seven times, John records Jesus proclaiming Himself with the introductory formula “I am.” We have considered the statement “I am the bread of life.” We said that just as bread sustains our lives physically, Jesus proclaimed Himself to be the One that sustains us spiritually and eternally. We have considered the statement, “I am the light of the world.” This statement gives us a radical claim (I am the light of the world) which calls us to a radical discipleship (anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness) which guarantees for us a radical promise (but will have the light of life).

Just Visiting: Philadelphia August 5, 2012 Text: Revelation 3:7-13; Hebrews 12:1-3 Key Thought: Jesus offers us his strength and courage to face trials and difficulty, to inspire our faith in God. This is the message from the one who is holy and true, the one who has the key of David. What he opens, no one can close; and what he closes, no one can open: I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. (Revelation 3)
Hearing the Voice of God
Have you ever wondered how you know if you are hearing from God? Hear about the ways God speaks to us today.
Jesus Is Knocking
A well balanced teaching from Revelations 3:20 on how Jesus persues us, the cost of following Him and the requirement to give all our lives to Him, but also how wonderful a life with Christ is beyond all the things of this world. Also God's overwhelming love for us and how He passionately persues us even when our backs are turned to Him and He still beckons us!
I AM the DOOR
The fourth installment of our eight week series where we will examine who Jesus tells us who he is by studying his "I AM" statements throughout the book of John. This week: “I AM the DOOR"
