Blessed are the meek...
The big idea is this: that the meek can do anything in Christ. To be meek is a choice - the choice to be mild, humble and gentle. When we are meek, that is, submissive to God, we can be used powerfully for Him (see: 1 Corinthians 1:26-32, and Psalm 37:1-11). Key Passage: Matthew 5:5

Do Good: Creation
God has charged us with caring for and cultivating the earth. Our relationship to God's creation should not be one of misuse but one of good stewardship and responsible consideration. Simple things we do every day can help reduce the negative impact our lives have on the earth. Pastor Jason admonishes us to try a few simple steps as a starting place to DO GOOD to creation: recycle rather than throw things away, replace incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs, and reduce our speed on the road from 75 to 65 mph.

A Worshipping Community
These days, there is an appetite for spirituality and a distaste for "church." Is this really what God wanted? The church was intended to be a dynamic, life-giving movement of people who experience and extend the love of God together. In fact, Jesus said that you can't be spiritual on your own, that the spiritual life is something we do together. If you catch a glimpse of God's dream for doing life together, we are convinced you'll never want anything less.

Part 5: A Blessing To The Nations
A Blessing To The Nations The gospel preached to Abraham was good news that God would bless the nations through Abraham. God truly would redeem the earth. His explanation is radical--Israel's story was always the story of Jesus.

Part 4: King And A Kingdom
King and a Kingdom From the very beginning, we see that God rules the world and his kingdom is characterized by blessing, peace, and life. The serpent deceives man and the world becomes subject to rulers and powers who rule not under God's authority, but under the power of the serpent, whose rule is characterized by curse, war, and death. God's promise to Abraham is a promise to restore the earth; this promise includes a king in the image of God who will rule forever.

Part 3: A Place Of Blessing
God's promise to Abraham is that he will redeem not only humanity, but the earth as well. Man was made from the earth, for the earth. Salvation is not simply man being redeemed in order to vacate the earth he was created for by "flying away to heaven." God will redeem all of creation and man will once again dwell in a perfect creation. The promise of land for Abraham was more than just land, it was the earth.
