Sermons About Easter
Easter Plain and Simple
What if you were driving down the highway when suddenly you are pulled over because you unknowingly caused a car wreck 200 miles earlier that resulted in a death? The same is true today: you are cruising down life's highway not realizing that you caused Christ's death on the cross 2000 years ago! The symbols of Easter, though some pagan by origin, point to the Biblical teaching that you participated in Christ's death way before you were even born. The Bible teaches that if you were united in Christ's death, that you will certainly be united in his resurrection. Easter points you all the way back to the cross, and all the way forward to eternal life with God!

Conflict And Community: Wondering About the Resurrection
Was Jesus really raised from the dead? The bodily resurrection is the essence of Christianity, and yet Jesus’ friends who first heard about it didn’t believe it! The testimony and the empty tomb call us to bring our questions and wonder out loud as we seek answers for ourselves.

Equation 2
What is it about Easter that makes it so special? What are we really celebrating? Whether you have grown up in the church or you are un-churched the answer is very obvious. But what does the look, the feel, the tone of our celebration tell others about this day? Is it a celebration of food, family, new clothes or perhaps a change of season? No, Easter is a celebration of the greatest single event in human history, the event that is the answer for everyone who has ever lived. Today as we consider The Equation in the context of Easter morning, our prayer is that we would leave here celebrating this event like we have never done before. This is week two of our Easter series The Equation.
