A Few Good Men for the City
Nehemiah took steps to repopulate the city. He appointed men who would keep it safe, help them worship and instruct the people. Godly leaders create a safe environment for meaningful ministry (biblical worship & gospel-centered teaching).

The Regulative Principle of Worship 3
If Scripture is our guide then we do only in worship what God has commanded us to do. We do nothing more and nothing less. We do nothing from our own imaginations in order to avoid the possibility that something could be a suggestion of Satan. Therefore in worship, and here is your rule of thumb, we read the Word, pray the Word, sing the Word, and preach the Word.

The Regulative Principle of Worship 2
1. True worship is worshipping the God of Scripture according to the revealed pattern in Scripture; no more and no less. We are not allowed to add to it and we are not allowed to take away from it. 2. True worship is to be done in happy obedience to the revealed will of God because we know that He loves us and is concerned about us being molded into the image of Christ Jesus. Not only that, He knows what is best for us. 3. True worship is God glorifying, not human entertaining, but ultimately edifying to the individual as well as the congregation.

The Regulative Principle Of Worship 1
The regulative principle is not going to deal with whether or not it is Scriptural to have electric lights or to meet inside or outside. It will deal with the very specific elements of worship and what we can participate in while worshipping the one true and living God. So why have a regulative principle of worship? The reason is three fold. 1. First, God has told us that He is to be worshipped. The very first commandment states that we are to have no other god before the One God who has redeemed us. All men of all times are called to bow the knee before the Lord of the Universe. 2. The second reason we need a regulative principle is because this God who has commanded us to worship Him also knows exactly how He is to be worshipped. And anything other than sanctioned worship is not acceptable. 3. The third reason we need a regulative principle is because we can not be trusted with instituting or maintaining biblical worship. We are going to see this in the Second Commandment.

Devoted To One Another
We started with a new theme – Building a BCI Church. Instead of understanding BCI as Bible Church International, we are using BCI to mean a Body Connected Intimately! Perhaps, you have some ideas on how we can be a healthier church like adding more programs and activities, building a better facility, raising more leaders, or enhancing our worship services. All of these are important for our church, but there is an area that is often neglected in most churches that we want to emphasize once again in our context. This is healthy relationships.

How to foster unity in the church
Pastor Geoff Findlay preaches the 26th sermon in our series from Romans: Doing what comes naturally! Sounds good? But this is not the way to foster unity in the church. Paul tells us that pleasing ourselves will divide and destroy the church. Rather "we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves."
