“RUNNING ON EMPTY” Hurried Sickness: Restoring the Weary Heart Hurried sickness is a pattern of going too fast and doing too much for too long leaving you feeling physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually exhausted and empty. Hurried sickness is ultimately a confusion of priorities. Our time and energy become focused in the wrong direction. What is the greatest cost of hurried sickness? The ability to love - love and hurry are fundamentally incompatible. Love requires energy - energy is something that hurried people do not have. Love also requires passion, for hurried people passion is in short supply. Our top priority or purpose on this earth is to love God and other people with all our heart.

Filled With High Octane
Do you every feel like you're running on empty? Do you lack peace, have no time for prayer, are confused or feel overwhelmed? God will provide the fuel that gives us the ability to continue running the race of life. You can live with the assurance that God will bless you! How do we receive that spiritual refueling? Seek forgiveness, draw close to the resource, ask for power, surrender to God's will and thank Him for His grace and strength.

Slow Down
Do we live at breakneck speed, relying on our own power and wondering why we end up running on empty? If we just slow down, we can have a better connection with God, our source of peace. We can also realize God's power and authority and not be robbed of our peace.
