Hurried Sickness: Restoring the Weary Heart
“RUNNING ON EMPTY†Hurried Sickness: Restoring the Weary Heart Hurried sickness is a pattern of going too fast and doing too much for too long leaving you feeling physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually exhausted and empty. Hurried sickness is ultimately a confusion of priorities. Our time and energy become focused in the wrong direction. What is the greatest cost of hurried sickness? The ability to love - love and hurry are fundamentally incompatible. Love requires energy - energy is something that hurried people do not have. Love also requires passion, for hurried people passion is in short supply. Our top priority or purpose on this earth is to love God and other people with all our heart.
