Moving Closer to Each Other
Continuing to share Metro's vision of wanting to be a church where people want to move closer to God, each other and the disconnected, we look to a few of the "one another" statements found in the Bible. We should be devoted to one another, spur one another on, bear with one another, encourage one another and love one another. We will move closer to each other if we remember and apply these "one another" statements.

Speak to the mountain
Summary: Our words are what we use to attack the enemy. When we say what God says to our enemies, it’s like shooting bullets at them. When we talk the problem, it’s like throwing cookies at them. Our words are the bullet, our mouth is the gun, but love is the firing pin. We have got to get God’s word in our mouth and fire at the enemy that’s standing in our way. We have to speak to the mountain. Don’t ask God to do anything about it, stop crying about it. Stop talking about how big it is, stop telling everyone you meet that will listen to you how big it is, and speak to it. Command it to go!

The Romans: A Work of God (Romans 1:7-15)
Paul concludes his introduction to Romans with a more personal note. He reminds the Romans that they are loved by God and called by God -- that God's claim on their lives and His grace to them is their fundamental reality. Paul gives thanks to God for the Romans and their faith, reminding them that all they have is from God. Lastly, Paul communicates his longing to see the Romans and share in God's work among them. Paul is aware that God's claim on his life gives him the privilege and responsibility of preaching that gospel to the lost.
