Sermons About Endurance
Patience in Suffering
Because people are often self-absorbed, the possibility of being taken advantage of financially is very probable. However, as believers in Jesus Christ, we are to not retaliate in anger when defrauded; but instead, be patient on the Lord...knowing that He sees all and knows all and that everyone will reap what they deserve--maybe in this life, but definately at the judgment seat of Christ. Above all, we ought to be in continual prayer for one another--in the good and bad times-- because prayer is the means of receiving God's transforming and healing power.

The established Word
In the storms of life – circumstances change – and they often change rapidly. Charles Spurgeon wrote: “After tossing about on a sea of trouble the psalmist here leaps to shore and stands upon a rock. Jehovah’s Word is not fickle nor uncertain; it is settled, determined, fixed, sure, immovable.” This section of Psalm 119 focuses on the endurance of God's Holy Word. The Word of God withstands all and still stands.

Land of the Lost
Movies speak to the reality of who we are as people and the things that captivate our hearts and minds. Reel2Real: Harvest Pointe @ The Movies is a sermon series using movies as a backdrop to teach some fundamental truths. Each week we will peak behind the curtain and see the underlying issue that each movie is dealing with and seek to discover what the Bible has to say about these issues. Join us as we seek to go from reel to real in our relationship with Jesus Christ. If you are wondering why we would pick these movies, please know that we are not advocating that you go and see every movie on the list of “Harvest Pointe @ The Movies”. Do your homework (visit www.previewonline.org for a review) and then go and see the movie if that is your decision. We use these movies as a launching place or theme for relevant discussion.

Endurance
We all need endurance. We cannot build the things that endure unless we endure the battle to build. There are a lot of things we need to build into our lives, our family and our community but we need endurance to do those things. The fourth chapter of the book of Nehemiah tells about a time when God's people needed and found this quality of endurance.

An Encouraging Word Part 2
The letter reflects a pastor’s heart for his people who not only shared a common faith in Jesus Christ but also a common struggle. The difficulty faced by these “scattered saints” (“pilgrims of the Dispersion”) is a difficulty that we still face today. The basic problem is how to maintain the integrity and power of a positive testimony as we live for Jesus Christ in the midst of a society that is ignorant of Biblical Truth and doubtful of the God who gave us the Truth (Jesus Christ).
