Prime Time
It seems that it has never been harder to be a teenager than it is in this day and time. Today's teenagers face more temptations, choices, fears, and problems than ever before. It may even seem that the teenage years are not as much 'happy days' as they are 'horror days'. Although polling data indicates that today's teenagers seem to be bored with life, it was never God's intent that young people merely 'survive' their teenage years. It is His desire that in our youth we live life to the fullest! For adults, it is important to realize the importance and biblical relevance of youth ministry. It is through biblical ministry that our teenage youths can learn that we all can trust what God tells us about how to live our lives. In Ecclesiastes 11:9-12:1, God gives three pieces of advice to teenagers that will help them enjoy life to the fullest. Indeed, these are three imperitives (divine commands): 1) Rejoice, or have fun - live responsibly; 2) Remove, or hang loose - live rationally; and 3) Remember, or honor God - live reverently.

If we’re going to enjoy what we believe, it’s going to require more than wishing it will happen. It will require a new UP perspective, a wardrobe makeover and just letting God be God.

Joy
