Charis Life: Growth (Part 2 of 2)
The topic of church growth often assumes a horizontal or vertical focus. Horizontal growth usually involves the number of people coming to your church. And, it's assumed bigger is better. Vertical growth tends to focus on each individual and their relationship with God to the exclusion of the rest of the church. In our second message of a 2-part series on life at Charis, we explore what it means to grow as a community and the impact that can have on both horizontal and vertical growth.

Craving Faith: The Power of One
The church is not a building. The church is a movement of people who are united by a common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The fact that Jesus has broken down the dividing wall between Jews and Gentiles essentially leveled generations of hostility between the two. In Christ, through His blood, we have access to God the Father who is above all. There is ... one body, one Spirit, one hope, one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one God and Father of all Who is over all and through all and in all. As a church body, HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH also seeks to be of one mind, one mission, one vision, one purpose, focused on the ONE, Jesus.
