What's Love Got To Do With It? (3of23)
A study of the Book of Revelation exploring the end of the world and the only thing that can save it.
Do Not Forsake Your First Love
A church that does not express the love of Christ as a primary distinction risks having its lampstand removed from the presence of Christ. What is love? It is God’s grace to mankind, received and recycled as we return it to God and share it with one another.
Destination: Ephesus
Just Visiting: Ephesus June 24, 2012 Text: Revelation 1:9-2:7; John 13:31-35 Key Thought: Churches do many things, but without love for God and each other, nothing else matters. Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches... Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God. (Revelation 2)
The Danger of Christianity
As we follow the conclusion of Paul's third and final missionary journey, we can take away 6 points about The Dangers of Christianity: (1) Christianity is dangerous to the world - nonbelievers see true belief destroying their man-made gods and idols; (2) Christianity is not dangerous to the world - we aren't threatening because God can protect himself; (3) Christians are in danger from the world; (4) The Gospel is worth the danger! (5) Christians are in danger from false teachers - from within the church; and (6) Christians are kept from danger by God and His Word - which means we have to be in the Word every day.
